Quantum Comics AI Brand Launch
The task was to leverage Al and emerging technologies to develop a brand identity, create social media content, design an augmented reality experience, craft a mobile app interface, and build a website landing page for a hypothetical client.
Company Brief I Chose
The hypothetical brief that I chose to go with was for Quantum Comics. Quantum Comics is a modern comic bookstore that celebrates classic and contemporary comics while creating an immersive retail experience that appeals to longtime collectors and new readers.
Final Brand Identity
Color Palette: Below shows the color palette that I went with. This color palette highlights the fun and whimsiness of the comic shop. Ultimately, I wanted colors that were bright and vibrant and that were welcoming which is important for a business.
Typography: Below also shows the typography that I went with. I wanted to go for something bold and legible. That is how I landed on utilizing the Balto family.

Main Logo
Below shows the first set of logos I developed. I wanted to bring in a recognizable comic element of some sort. Since I'm a big comics fan, this was easy for me to come up with and I landed on utilizing the comic "POW" action shape. This is something that is prevalent in most comics, and it gives the logo some much needed action.

Logo Animation
After developing a logo, a logo animation needed to be created. For the logo animation, I wanted to bring in more of that action idea that was developed with the logo, and wanted to simulate a comic fight scene. My main inspiration was doing something similar to the Batman '66 TV show fight scenes where after fighting criminals, the "BANG", "BOOM", "POW" would come up screen.
For this animation, instead of just making everything go all at once, I made sure to bring in and match up the pow shapes to the rows of type. You can view the animation below.
Print Ad
Below shows the print ad that I developed. I wanted to highlight all of the offerings that Quantum Comics has. The main things being comics and collectibles, such as action figures. Before designing the layout, I wanted to have some sort of mascot for the comic store. That's where I came up with "Quantum Man", and generated an action figure of him and stood him up on some comic books.
I wanted the print ad to encourage viewers to become a Quantum Comics member to get exclusive perks and benefits. By signing up, this would ensure we have returning customers and would build up the business more.

Social Content
Instagram Story 1: Below shows the color palette that I went with. This color palette highlights the fun and whimsiness of the comic shop. Ultimately, I wanted colors that were bright and vibrant and that were welcoming which is important for a business.
Instagram Story 2: For this Instagram story, the purpose of it was to encourage people to join the Quantum Comics free membership. Once again, I utilized the same pop-up animation.
Instagram Story 3 (Logo Carousel): This animation story is a little different because the logomark had to be utilized for it. My main idea for this story was to highlight the different comic book styles that Quantum Comics offers. The "POW" shape was utilized as a container where the mascot (Quantum Man) was flying out of it. The full story/post works as a transition between all the art styles.
Instagram Story 4 (Runway AI Video): For this final Instagram story, we had to utilize an AI video software. I chose Runway and I wanted to make the Quantum Man mascot fly out of the "POW" shape container. Luckily through many attempts I got Quantum Man flying with his cape being the actual "POW" shape. The purpose of this story is to shout out the new comic releases.
Final Augmented Reality (AR) Content
Business Card: Below shows the business card developed for the store. This business card highlights the AR experience on the backside.

AR Video: Below shows the completed AR experience. My main idea for this was to construct a comic book scene that can immerse the viewer into the scene taking place. Once the viewer clicks on the book, it opens up to a scene. After the scene launches the heroes begin to fight the big monster villain, and once the monster is defeated, a discount code pops up to use on their online store checkout.
Final UI App Content
Below shows the designs for the e-commerce shopping app. The fun comic book elements were brought in to make everything feel more custom to the brand. This app has several flows in it, such as joining the membership, a wishlist, and the regular cart/payment process.
