VOLUTA Cigars Packaging
The task was to develop a brand identity and design a 3 product series using Adobe Firefly AI tools throughout the design process—from initial concepting through final presentation. This project emphasizes strategic AI integration, understanding when to use generative tools vs. traditional design methods, and creating commercially viable packaging with AI-enhanced elements.
About The Brand
Brand Story: VOLUTA was born from a simple realization: cigar culture hasn’t kept up with the people discovering it. Too often, it feels exclusive, outdated, and visually stuck in the past. VOLUTA reimagines cigars for a new generation—transforming them into a modern ritual of expression inspired by the fluid, artful motion of smoke.
At its core, VOLUTA makes cigar culture more accessible, creative, and visually engaging—speaking to an audience that values aesthetics, storytelling, and shared moments. The product isn’t the problem—the perception is. VOLUTA bridges that gap through quality craftsmanship paired with bold design, vibrant color, and a contemporary voice.
By fusing heritage with modernity, VOLUTA transforms cigars into something intentional, collectible, and worth sharing—reshaping the culture into something more inclusive, expressive, and current.
Brand Guide
Typography: For the typography, I wanted to use a decorative type for the actual flavor names to lean into that nice premium feel. For the rest of the type, I wanted to be more bolder and direct.
Color Palette: For the color palette, I wanted the main brand colors to feel luxe and premium. Separating from that typical old vintage cigar packaging, I also decided to bring in more vibrant colors that catered to that younger target audience I was going for.

Logo
An important thing to mention about the brand is that VOLUTA translates to "a swirl of smoke" in French. I wanted to use this idea going into creating the logo. As you can see, the "V" and the "O" in the name both have those continuous swirls in the letterforms. This also gives the logo more movement.

Generated Logo Structures
Below shows the generated logomark structures using Adobe Firefly. I wanted to utilize my smoke elements, so I did plain smoke structures, the stylized smoke structures, as well as did structures utilizing the ingredients for each cigar.

Final Packaging Design
For the final packaging, I made everything feel luxe and exclusive in a way by using darker colors. The bold and vibrantness was brought in with the colored smoke elements. These smoke elements were also meant to be textured in the final mockups using an embossed effect. For the interior, the colored smoke was put in for that nice pop surprise. For the cigars, each one is differently shaped, and the wrapper was put on the top with the color coded logomark.

Website
Below shows the final landing page. Once again, I wanted to lean into that luxe/premium/exclusive feel. The smoke elements were brought in for nice pops where they also acted as buttons for the site.

Social Media
Social Media Story 1: For the first social media story, I made it about the Chromatic Haze flavor. Since this cigar is for everyday moments, I made the setting in a nightclub where smoking the cigar makes the most sense. The blue smoke comes in and fades into the dance club, where the product and button come up to take you to buy the product.

Social Media Story 2: This is about the Crimson Veil flavor. The same formula was used where the red smoke blends into a late night scene, since this cigar is for night events.

Social Media Story 3: This is about the Aurora Plume flavor. The same formula was used where the yellow smoke blends into a daytime hangout scene, since this cigar is for day events.

Social Carousel: For this post, a shopping carousel was made. The post mainly directs people to choose a cigar that fits their mood. Each of the images focuses on a specific cigar and highlights the scene where they're primarily used in.
