Briscoe Western Art Museum Website Redesign
The task was to create a new design for a museum website. The website must properly reflect the museum’s nature of business and include a navigational system, as well as organize all of their textual content accordingly. We were given choices as to what museum we can work with, so I chose the Briscoe Western Art Museum.
Patterns Created
Below shows a few of the patterns that I created for this website redesign. Through my analysis of Native American art, I saw that their art consisted of a lot of triangular shapes, so I made sure to incorporate those in my patterning. Textures were put onto them to prevent them from appearing too flat and to give them some dimension.
Final Pages
The final pages that I redesigned were the homepage, visit page, exhibits page, offerings page, and support page. The patterning was placed to ensure that the website did not have a lot of negative space. The goal was to create something visually appealing and decorative. Below shows all of the pages created.
