TheFoggyDog Bow Tie Packaging
The task was to select an existing accessory product and brand, then reimagine the product design and create new branded packaging for their evolved concept.
About the Brand
The Foggy Dog is a San Francisco–based pet lifestyle brand that designs stylish, high-quality accessories and essentials for dogs and other pets. The company was founded by designer Rose Shattuck, who couldn’t find pet products that were both well-designed and functional, so she created her own. The brand stands out for its modern, aesthetically thoughtful pet products that merge form and function.
Product Tech Pack
For the main bow tie design, I wanted to make that and the packaging was birthday themed. I created some simple dog cupcake patterning, and used that as the main design for the bow tie. In the middle of the bow tie, I created a birthday candle paw design. Below shows the final tech pack.
Final Packaging Design
Below shows the final packaging design. Overall, I wanted to create a nice experience, sort of like when you open a gift. For the interior, I opted to use bone graphics to simulate confetti in a way. I also adopted some fun dog party language to make everything feel fun. The exterior is supposed to resemble a gift box with the bow tie simulating a birthday bow. The rectangles also represent birthday ribbon. On the back, there is the brand story, as well as a place to post your pets with their bowties on social media.
